Dutch Colonial Late Baroque-style Silver-mounted Hardwood Cabinet on Stand, possibly Batavia (now Jakarta), Indonesia, late 19th/early 20th century, the two-door cabinet with unmarked solid silver mounts decorated in the Chinese style, enclosing an open interior fitted with a later medial shelf, the stand with molded edge above deep drapery swags interrupted by six square tapering legs joined by scrolled X-form stretcher, total ht. 80 1/2, wd. 50 5/8, dp. 23 5/8 in. N.B. A photograph taken by Earl C. Roper of Philadelphia, showing the piece in situ in an interior, accompanies the lot. Roper worked in Philadelphia during the 1920s. The home remains unidentified.
