Straits Chinese Wedding Jacket and Skirt, 20th century, the jacket opens at front and is entirely couched in gold threads on red silk with pairs of dragons and phoenixes chasing pearls amongst peony flowers, the skirt similarly decorated with dragons and phoenixes amidst lotus blossoms, embroidered with red and green details, framed, 65 x 38 in. Provenance: Family of Joe Klein (b. 1946), journalist, columnist, and author of Primary Colors .
