Tiger Maple Tall Case Clock, Joseph Pope, Boston, c. 1770, the hood with a pagoda top above the tombstone cast brass and silvered dial with a strike/silent indicator in the arch, seconds hand, calendar aperture and engraved chapter ring, centering a panel engraved "Joseph Pope/BOSTON," with brass eight-day weight-driven movement, refinished, (restoration), ht. 87 in. Provenance: Gift from J. Cheney Wells to Wells Historical Museum, 1937.
