Pieced Cotton Roman Cross Pattern Quilt, America, hand-stitched quilt with thirty-five blocks of red calico printed squares and rectangles arranged in a zigzag design around a central white cross on an off-white ground, one cross is embroidered with the name "Mary Buckley Nutting," the blocks separated by a red calico-printed grid, and bordered with a white and a red calico border, backed with off-white muslin, one corner of the reverse is stitched "ARK 1836," quilted with outline, chain, and shell designs, approx. 104 x 82 in.
