Inlaid Figured Walnut Veneer Tea Caddy, England, late 18th century, rectangular double tea caddy with canted corners with inlaid flutes, a large oval shell inlay on the hinged lid, oval fan inlay to the front, burl or bird's-eye maple oval inlay on the sides, rear, and interior lid, and crossbanded and chevron inlaid borders, with diamond-shaped bone escutcheon, the divided interior with conforming inlaid covers, (imperfections), ht. 4 3/4, wd. 7 1/2, dp. 4 1/2 in.
