Harry Bertoia (Italian/American, 1915-1978) Painting Mountain Landscape Signed and dated "H. BERTOIA '39" l.c. Watercolor on paper, 10 x 13 7/8 in., framed. Condition: Glue residue along left side edge, loss or trimmed at l.l. corner, subtle rippling, glue residue and brown paper tape on three sides of the reverse. Provenance: Gifted to and descended in the family of the consignor. N.B. This work was made by Mr. Bertoia when he attended Cranbrook Academy of Art, 1937-1943, by all accounts a pivotal point in his career.
