Silvana Cenci (Italian/American, 1926-2000) Sculpture Sails Signed "Cenci" on the reverse. Manipulated stainless steel sheet with liquid gold coating, 34 3/4 x 24 in., framed. Condition: Scattered minor abrasions which may be original to the work. N.B. In the early 1960's, the artist developed a way to apply flexible explosive onto metal sheets and to detonate it in a controlled explosion to form the piece.
