Federal Inlaid Mahogany Oxbow Slant-lid Desk, Massachusetts, c. 1795, the lid opens to an interior of a central prospect door inlaid with a fan-arched panel, and three hidden concave drawers, with flanking string-inlaid drawers and compartments, above a cockbeaded case of drawers on ogee bracket feet, old oval brasses are probably replaced, (minor imperfections), ht. 44, wd. 41 1/4, dp. 21 in.
