Two Blue Transfer-decorated Staffordshire Plates Depicting Sailing Vessels, Enoch Wood [& Sons], Burslem, England, early 19th century, a dinner plate depicting "The Kent East Indiaman," shown as on the day it caught fire and became lost at sea in the Bay of Biscay March 1, 1825, (cavetto chip, surface wear); and a luncheon plate depicting "Dartmouth" a British harbor scene with fishing boats, figures, and castle and mountains in the background, both with shell borders, titles below, and impressed maker's marks, dia. 9 1/4, 8 1/2 in., respectively.
