Demirci Kula Rug, West Anatolia, c. 1850, the light brown central lozenge upon a midnight blue field with reciprocal tulip, carnation, and pomegranate motifs in hues of ice blue, light yellow, and red, lilies and hyacinths surrounding, all within a gold toothed and angular meandering vine main border, (rewoven areas throughout, new borders on all four sides), 5 ft. x 4 ft. 2 in.
