Palimpore Textile, India, late 19th century, the ivory field with a large polychrome cypress tree emerging from a floral palmette in an urn atop a scalloped mound, flanked by two confronting stylized peacocks and enclosed by an allover pattern of blossoming and curling vines, two side panels of similar design, and a cross panel with sweeping vines and large blossoms displaying a fan-type design, multiple stylized rosette repeat borders, 5 ft. 8 in. x 3 ft. 8 in.
