Brass and Wrought Iron Ladle, Probably Connecticut, early 19th century, the shaped wrought iron handle marked "CTS," lg. 18 1/2, dia. 5 1/2 in. Note: In his collection notes, Howard Roth speculated that this and 153600/97 *** replace with lot number when known *** might have been made by Cromwell Turner Salisbury (1792-1859), a blacksmith who had a shop at the corner of King Street and Exchange Street in East Greenwich, Connecticut.
