Petterson, 1-in. scale, c. 1945, the steam engine with green- and yellow-painted tender and three cars, all within a glass case, ht. 10 3/4, wd. 38 1/4, dp. 8 1/2 in. Note: The DeWitt Clinton Train was the first locomotive and train of passenger-cars in the state of New York making its first run from Albany to Schenectady on August 9, 1831. This model received a first prize from the New York Society of Model Engineers, Inc. in 1948 and 1949. Original certificates and photographs accompany the lot.
