Walfred (W. T.) Thulin (American, 1878-1949) Arts & Crafts Frame Surrounding a Mirror. Signed and dated "19WT19/ Thulin" in red and with a round label from The Society of Arts and Crafts, Boston, both on the frame backing. Carved, painted, and gilded wood in the sgraffito style, outer dimensions 26 1/2 x 18 1/2 in. Condition: Minor losses to gilding, split to miter at u.l. corner. N.B. It is very likely that this frame always held a mirror. It is typical to find mirror frames of this size to be signed on just the paper backs.
