Seamstress signed and dated "David Levine 61" in pencil l.r., identified, dated, and titled Woman in Dress Shop on a label from Forum Gallery, New York, with inventory #6894; Garment Worker signed "D. Levine" in pencil l.l. Seamstress ink and sepia wash, sight size 9 1/2 x 12 in., Worker graphite on paper, 6 x 7 1/4 in., both framed. Condition: Not examined out of frames. Provenance: A private Massachusetts Collection. N.B. A sales receipt for The Seamstress dated December 16, 1961, from Davis Galleries, New York, accompanies the lot.
