Twelve Figural Landscape Leaves from an Album, China, depicting a hermit figure at various pursuits: under a pine looking at a flying crane, in a pavilion under a snowy tree, riding a donkey, sitting at a table with an old woman, sitting at a table with a man on a bridge, standing beside a blooming tree near the water; two men on a boat, an old man calling for a boatman, two men climbing a hill, a man in a boat, two men drinking with a woman and children, and one with an empty pavilion, eight with two seals, ink and light color on fabric, painting 12 3/4 x 11 1/2 in. Provenance: From the estate of Kai Suhr, who supplied Chiang-Kai-shek's army in China between the years of 1938-1939.
