Illuminated Bifolium of Calligraphy from a Manuscript, Persia, possibly 16th/17th century, ink, opaque color, and gold on parchment, with Nastaliq script calligraphy on both sides of the page inside rectangular gilt bordered cartouches divided into two colums, one bisected by a band of calligraphy in white over a gilt ground, the pages decorated with various shaped cartouches and scrolling gilt floral motifs, each page 11 1/4 x 7 in.
