Felicie Waldo Howell (American, 1897-1968) The Approaching Shower Signed and dated "Felicie Waldo Howell-1921-" twice l. l., titled on a remnant of an old label affixed to the frame backing. Watercolor and gouache on paper, 25 1/2 x 19 5/8 in. (64.8 x 49.8 cm), framed. Condition: Creasing to l.r. corner, small tear (1 1/8 in.) at l.l. side, other stabilized tears to edges, nicks and tack holes to edges, remnants of old backing or mounting at upper corners of the reverse, tape-hinged to back mat.
