Paul Gauguin (French, 1848-1903) La femme aux figues , 1894, final (canceled) state of three, probably printed c. 1963 (Kornfeld et al., 25 III). Inscribed within the plate. Etching on Ingres laid paper with watermark, plate size 10 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. (26.5 x 41.8 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 3 1/4 inches with deckled edges, handling and unpressed creases (primarily to margins), pale toning, hinges affixed to upper edge verso. Provenance: A New York City estate.
