Mario Negri (Italian, 1916-1987) Untitled Figural Study in Bronze , 1958 Monogrammed on the top of the bronze base, identified as an edition of 8 on the sales receipt that accompanies the lot, dated, inscribed, and numbered "1958/... 2/3" on a label affixed to the plinth. Bronze with black patina, 6 5/8 x 4 3/16 x 1 7/8 in. (18.0 x 10.5 x 4.8 cm), on a marble plinth. Condition: Accumulated surface dust and dirt, minor wear to patina. Provenance: A private New England collection. N.B. A sales receipt dated March 2, 1966, from Obelisk Gallery, Boston, accompanies the lot.
