Tin-glazed Earthenware Goddess Plate, England, c. 1735-40, probably London or possibly Bristol, blue decorated with an alternating border of angel heads and lotus blossoms surrounding a central landscape with seated maiden, possibly depicting Ceres, holding a cornucopia of flowers, a flowering pot to one side, a bird to the other, dia. 8 3/4 in.
