Continental, late 19th/early 20th century. A matched pair of stained wood transitional style settees or loveseats with bead, ribbon twist and floral carved frame scrolling to the downswept back centered with carved floral filled urn over pierced floral splat, the curved sides, back and settee covered in muslin with removable down filled cushion over a serpentine seatrail carved with bead-and-reel over ribbon twist and raised on imbricated cabriole legs headed with patera blocks and terminating in scrolled toes. Approximate height 29.25", width 51.5", seat depth 22", seat height 19" (with cushion).
