Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Gold-powdered Stencil-decorated and Ebonized Mirrored Chest of Drawers, attributed to Alexander Kinnan and States Mead, New York, c. 1823, the rectangular mirror on scrolled supports above three short drawers and projecting case of half-round shaped top drawer and two drawers below flanked by ring-turned columns continuing to vase- and ring-turned frontal legs and cutout rear legs, the case elaborately decorated with stenciled borders, fruit, and acanthus leaves, original brass rosettes and ring pulls, ht. 65 1/2, wd. 36 1/2, dp. 24 1/2 in.
