Pair of Grecian Fancy Chairs, possibly New York, c. 1825, the concave scrolled tablets with crotch mahogany graining and classical gilt designs above the shaped splats showing a stenciled village landscape with a man on horseback, raking stiles with feathers and vines on rush seats and conformingly decorated sabre legs joined by concave paneled stretchers, ht. 29, seat ht. 15 1/2 in.
