Large British Felling Axe and Partial Haft, c. last half 18th century, iron axe head with a British broad arrow, and the markers mark HAWKE , and the partial remains of the original wooden haft, axe lg. 11 5/8 in. Note: This axe was found years ago by a recreational diver near Fort Erie, built around 1760 and occupied during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
