Ticonderoga Powder Horn Owned by Timothy Wooding, c. 1759, horn with pine plug and iron staple, marked mr Timothy Woodins/horn made at Ticondaroga Augs ye 21 Ad 1759 , carved with foliate designs, animals, two soldiers sword fighting on a bridge, and the name of the carver Samuel Jecoks, overall lg. 14 in. Note: Timothy Wooding was born on September 3, 1738, in New Haven, Connecticut, and died in 1769. He was a private in Captain Amos Hitchcock's Company, Colonel Nathan Whiting's 2nd Connecticut Provincial Regiment in 1758 and 1759. Samuel Jecoks is listed in Colonel Wooster's Provincial Regiment.
