Philip Campbell Curtis (American, 1907-2000) Two Women Signed and dated "PHILIP C CURTIS '72" across the top of the composition. Oil on panel, sight size 3 3/8 x 2 7/16 in. (8.6 x 6.1 cm), housed in a daguerreotype case. Condition: Good. Provenance: Ex collection of Charles Percy Parkhurst (1913-2008), Williamstown, Massachusetts. Parkhurst was a part of the so-called Williams Art Mafia. He worked as a museum curator, professor, and was one of the "Monuments Men."
