Polychrome and Transfer-decorated Liverpool Pottery Creamware Pitcher and Bowl, England, early 19th century, the pitcher with a three-masted ship on one side, a panoply inscribed "PEACE/PLENTY/AND/INDEPENDENCE" on the other, and an eagle over "JAMES TILTON" below the spout; the bowl with three-masted ship and lettered "JAMES TILTON" below, panoplies of arms around inner rim of bowl, the exterior with images of Benjamin Franklin and George Washington and rural scenes, (imperfections), ht. 9 1/2 in.
