Classical Mahogany and Gilt Gesso Wall Timepiece, Joseph Dyer, Middlebury, Vermont, c. 1830, the mahogany case with eagle and urn finial, gilt gesso wood bezel, painted iron dial inscribed "Warranted by J. Dyer," and brass weight-driven movement, the tapering throat with applied spiral split balusters flanking a tombstone mirror panel on molded bracket ending in an acorn pendant, old surface, ht. 48 in.
