Kula Silk Prayer Rug, West Anatolia, late 19th century, silk on cotton, the light red field with reciprocal hanging plants suspended from ewers, light blue spandrels, ivory "arrowhead" motif cross panel, meander floral border, all within an ivory rosette and serrated leaf main border, (even wear, slight end fraying), 4 ft. 10 in. x 3 ft. 6 in. Provenance: The estate of Grover Schiltz.
