Negretti & Zambra Large Double Sextant, London, early 19th century, lacquered brass double-sided 5-in. dia. instrument each side consisting of a silvered scale calibrated 0-180, vernier, magnifier, index and horizon mirrors and accompanying knurled adjustment knobs, a 4-in. scope that extends to 6-in. with rotating solar filters, engraved on one side Negretti & Zambra, London , and a folding rosewood handle, all housed in a fitted mahogany case.
