Republic Period, the enamel decoration having gilt and polychrome accents throughout, a decoration of leiwen, diaper ground and stiff plantain leaves to the slightly flared mouth rim and above the shoulder, the body depicting a scene of figures and attendants paying tribute to a red robed official seated in a quanyi armchair with attendants surrounding him in a grove of trees, rocks and flowers, the reverse having poetic inscription, cyclical date mark and three painted seals, the foot with a row of repeating lappets above geometric pattern bands, with apocryphal gilt and iron red four-character Kangxi yuzhi mark in a square to the underside. Height 22 inches.
