Chinese, 20th century. Five small figural paintings contained in unified frame. Each with corresponding jovial seasonal text in English, some with additional red character writing. The first work with a female figure wearing green and pink holding a leaved branch with pink flowers standing in a cloud above "A Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Be thou blest with all that heaven can send: Long health, long life, long pleasure, and a good friend." The next with a figure holding a bottle below "MAG YAUR ORDER OF NOBILITY BE RAISED". The next of a man in hat with long mustache wearing green and blue below "May Christmas be very full of heartfelt Peace & Joy!" The fourth figure of a woman holding a censor or ewer pitcher underneath "The New Year bringth thee health and happiness." The last figure holding a grain plant and mirror or fan below faded red scrolled text. Verso of frame with J.O. Krumbholz Fine Arts, Milwaukee, Wisconsin label. Framed 8.25" x 19.75". Each image size approximately 4.25" x 2.75".
