19th century. Carved ivory three piece opium pipe contained within fitted leather case with faded gold text (likely for maker or retailer) on interior of silk lined hinged lid. Pipe with brass fittings and carved crown accent, detachable tip. Two tips with different sized holes for variance in smoke exhumation. Brass metal with illegible marks. Pipe (when assembled) measures 6" x 2.5". Provenance: From the Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia.
