[Geneva: Henri Estienne], 1580. 8vo, contemporary blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards with roll-tooled roundels of Hus, Luther, Erasmus and Melancthon on upper and rear boards, upper board center panel with cameo of Augustus, Elector of Saxony, (1526–86), standing with sword in elegant armor, and the rear board center panel with his elaborate coat-of-arms, identified by the text surrounding both, dated 1592, stamped NGS, gauffered edges, two spiral metal clasps, printer's device to title page. Third edition, Greek letter, two Latin versions (Beza's translation and the Vulgate), text in parallel columns. A few contemporary manuscript notations; light dampstain to a few plates; otherwise binding with deep impression and very well preserved.
