Wear to boards with some tears to leather covers, outer spine hinges cracked and ends frayed slightly; dampstain to upper corner some pages; ex-libris stamp "William S. Sotheran" to f.f.e.p. all vols.; small tear fore edge p. 273, vol. 3; 2-inch tear to inner fold of map; 3-inch portion of top corner title page vol. 1 removed; rear blank vol. 1 torn.
