Chicago: Clarke, Layton, 1866. Large printed real estate auction map, for property comprising the former Douglas Estate, bounded by Kankakee Ave. and Lake Michigan, and Lyon and Douglas Aves. With proposed Chicago University at the center. A plot in the lower right corner is reserved for Senator Douglas' memorial. Creased with only a small amount of loss at the folds; some manuscript notations in pen and pencil; a couple of very small tears at the edges; some light brownspotting.
