Very rare second English edition of Vigo's system of surgery printed by Whitechurch. Title with architectural woodcut border with initials E. W. [Edward Whitechurch] on the base of the pillars. Black letter, text in double columns, ornamented initials throughout. Armorial bookplate of Sir William Stirling-Maxwell tipped in front pastedown. Minor dampstaining to interior; rubbing to spine; intermittent contemporary marginalia; otherwise fine.
