Munich: Franz Eher, 1925-27. 2 vols. 8vo, bound in publisher's white half cloth (vol. 1) and publisher's full red cloth (vol. 2) lettered in white, in custom matching quarter morocco folding case with title stamped in gilt to spine. First editions, first issues. In their first publications, both volumes were a failure and interest only grew after another printing was distributed to newlyweds. With each subsequent edition it became illegal to own earlier editions, so they were methodically discarded adding to the rarity of the present set. At the end of each volume appears a list of other National Socialist Party publications. PMM 415. Ex-libris stamp H. Hesse, Hamburg, to title page vol. 1; toning to endpapers; wear to boards with some light dampstaining (vol. 1); hinges starting with some separation to inner hinge (vol. 2); sunning to spine and edges bumped (vol. 2); light pencil notations in German to both volumes in text and on the rear endpaper of vol. 1; otherwise a fine set in a fine presentation box.
