With map of the boundaries of Camp Douglas in Chicago that overlies the 1878 map of Chicago streets, which the camp originally encompassed. The author explains the difficulty in determining the original boundaries of the camp, which housed rebel prisoners. Manuscript presentation inscription to front cover; pastedown presentation clipping to title page; some browning; inventory sticker to front cover; spine and edges of pages chipped slightly; otherwise fine.
