Chinese, first half of 20th century. Mahogany wood jewelry box with floral decorated metal mounts on corners throughout and metal handle at top. Ladies vanity box with pull out drawer below two hinged doors decorated with vertically aligned porcelain panels with hand painted decoration of ladies (one reading a letter, the other holding a fan) in an outdoor setting. Hinged doors open to reveal four pull out drawers within. Each drawer with red fabric lining. Sides with additional hand painted porcelain panels with perched and flying birds on flowering trees on white ground. Box with locking front. Height 11.25", width 8.5", depth 6".
