Gélis-Didot et Louis Maltese", with inscription at lower right margin "AFFICHES ARTISTIQUES._ G. DE MALHERBE RUE N.-D DES CHAMOS, 54.", published by G. de Malherbe (French, 19th/20th century). Large scale art nouveau poster advertising for Parisian Absinthe, depicting beautiful woman in revealing gown with copper hair upswept, with glass of absinthe in her right hand (likely a version of La Féerie Verte -- or, the Green Fairy -- who was the Parisians' personification of absinthe); with her left hand embracing the wrist of an elderly man in tall hat, or top hat, and elaborate collar; with a life-sized bottle of absinthe in the background; with inscription at top center "ABSINTHE PARISIENNE"; with inscription at lower center "BOIS DON, tu verras anres.." and "DISTILLE du VAL-ROGER a VILLIERS-SUR-MARNE".
