the compressed ovoid body flanked by a pair of lion-mask and loose-ring handles, rising from three curved legs applied with further lion masks to a recessed waist stopping at a mouth decorated with key-fret border, having lotus scrolls throughout against a blue ground, the domed cover having similar decoration and reticulated panels with clusters of clouds, surmounted by a lion finial, the base incised with a four-character Qianlong mark, raised on a fitted wood stand pierced with lotus motif. Height of censer 5 3/4 inches.
