having a flared mouth rim and raised on a short slightly splayed foot, the shoulder painted with sinuous five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls amongst clouds and phoenixes flying amidst flowering branches to the exterior, various flower heads to the interior, the body decorated with flower sprays and scholars under a pine tree beside flowers issuing from rockery within panels, the foot having a band of key fret, bearing an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a square panel to the underside. Height 7 3/8 inches.
