A Rolling Stones used session road case given to Scott Mathews by Nicky Hopkins, commonly known as Britain's top session player in rock and roll. Hopkins played piano with The Rolling Stones on all of their studio albums from 1967 through 1981. Hopkins used the flight case, obtained as a gift from The Rolling Stones, to carry outboard gear that he used at Compass Point Studios. The list of gear used is printed on the case, as are stickers from the studio and flights to and from the Bahamas and Oakland airports. Other musical icons Hopkins worked with include The Beatles ("Revolution"), Led Zeppelin, The Who (1965-1975), The Kinks, Joe Cocker ("You Are So Beautiful"), Cat Stevens, Donovan, Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck, and many others. Hopkins is the only session player to work with all four individual Beatles, and he did session work with Mathews on several projects while also working with Jerry Garcia, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Harry Nilsson, Carly Simon, Joe Walsh and even Spinal Tap. 20 by 15 by 23 inches Categories:
