A blue, black and grey short sleeved shirt intended for Elvis Presley to wear in the film Jailhouse Rock (MGM, 1957). The shirt was not seen in the film but can be seen here in a publicity image. The shirt has a brand label from Sportop, neck size 15-15 1/2 and sized medium. It also has an Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer costume tag what reads "Name Elvis Presley/ No. 1719." 1719 was the MGM production number for Jailhouse Rock . The shirt is believed to have been purchased at the MGM wardrobe sale that followed the monumental 1970 MGM auction. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Elvis Presley Museum.
