A collection of buttons that are a mix of buttons purchased by Garbo and buttons from her personal wardrobe. Garbo frequently changed the buttons on clothing items- shirts in particular. She thought manufacturers used cheap, unattractive buttons and she would change them for buttons she liked better. She was a frequent customer of the Tender Buttons on East 62nd Street in NY and kept a large supply on hand for future use.
