A set of six film reels of President John F. Kennedy's pre-inaugural gala from January 19, 1961, organized and hosted by Frank Sinatra. The reels contain approximately 175 minutes of footage. Performers and speakers include Frank Sinatra, Mahalia Jackson, Bette Davis, Sidney Poitier, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Quinn, Frederic March, Ella Fitzgerald, Gene Kelly, Harry Belafonte, Joey Bishop, Milton Berle, Bill Dana, Nat King Cole, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, Louis Prima and Keely Smith, Pat Suzuki, Helen Traubel, Ethel Merman, Jimmy Durante, orchestra conducted by Leonard Bernstein, Lyndon B. Johnson, and John F. Kennedy. The variety style show included a group performance by many of the participants. The film has been transferred to three DVDs, which accompany the lot.
