The ball features 25 signatures, including players Johnny Allen, Johnny Broaca, Sammy Byrd, Ben Chapman, Frankie Crosetti (signed twice), Jimmie DeShong, Lefty Gomez, Don Heffner, Myril Hoag, Art Jorgens, Tony Lazzeri, Danny MacFayden, Johnny Murphy, Floyd Newkirk, Red Ruffing, Jack Saltzgaver, George Selkirk, Zack Taylor, and Russ Van Atta and coaches Art Fletcher, Johnny Schulte, and Joe Sewell. The ball features a clubhouse Lou Gehrig signature, meaning it was signed on Gehrig's behalf by clubhouse staff. The sweet spot is signed by baseball great and American icon Babe Ruth. Ruth, not only one of the best-known baseball players of all time but one of the best-known sports figures of all time, regularly led the league in home runs, slugging percentage, OPS, runs scored, and RBIs. He played for seven World Series champion teams and was among the first five players to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
