Part of the arsenal of the fearsome Uruk-hai this stunt crossbow bolt head was created by Weta Workshop’s armoury department for the production of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (New Line Cinema( 2001, 2002, 2003). The Uruk-hai, bred by Saruman by crossing Orcs with Goblins to create a indestructible army, were armed with a vicious array of industrial weaponry including short range cross bows that fired a wooden and iron bolt. These can be seen being used by the crossbowmen of Saruman’s and Sauron’s armies at numerous points throughout the trilogy, most notably at the battles of Helm’s Deep and Gondor. This bolt head is created from resin for the safety of the cast and crew and carefully painted to resemble hand beaten iron. Length, 6 inches Categories:
